The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – The Black Serpent is a 2017 Adventure Pack for 1–2 players, with an approximately 60-minute play time.

As the fourth Adventure Pack in the Haradrim cycle, it follows several of Middle-earth’s greatest heroes on a difficult detour from their journey home. Hundreds of miles from their homeland and stranded in enemy territory, they are outnumbered, short on supplies, and still committed to the fight against the Dark Lord.

The heroes have already endured grueling travel through Harad’s arid deserts, along with encounters against Orcs, Wargs, and giant spiders. When they discover a caravan of Haradrim carrying tributes to the Dark Lord of Mordor, they seize the opportunity to strike. Their target camps within the walls of a dilapidated desert fortress, creating the setting for a dangerous ambush.

The Black Serpent includes 60 cards and introduces new content for both the ongoing campaign and player decks:

• A new scenario centered on the heroes’ assault against the Haradrim caravan
• One new hero
• New player cards, including three copies of each new player card

With the caravan’s forces outnumbering the attackers, the heroes must rely on sound tactics and the strength of their allies. The Black Serpent presents a tense desert confrontation in which survival depends on whether the ambush plan can withstand the enemy’s greater numbers.
