Cosmic Encounter: Expansion Set #9 is an expansion for 3–6 players, with a listed play time of 90 minutes and a 1983 release year. It was created for the Eon Products, Inc. version of Cosmic Encounter.

The set adds the Aristocrat alien power, bringing the total to 75 alien powers in the whole game. It also includes six different planet hex stickers for the backs of the system hexes, adding new named designs to the expanded collection.
