The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – The Woodland Realm is a 2018 custom scenario kit for 1–2 players, set in the dark and enchanted forest of Mirkwood.

Home to Wood-elves, giant spiders, and the armies of Dol Guldur, Mirkwood has been a prominent setting in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game since the Core Set. Its twisting paths, shadowed canopy, and dangerous inhabitants create a familiar but continually threatening landscape.

The Woodland Realm gives this well-known region an entirely new look. Designed expressly for that year’s Fellowship Event, it follows and builds upon the unique adventures shared by attendees of Gen Con Indy who set forth on The Wizard’s Quest.

Like The Wizard’s Quest, The Woodland Realm lets players step over the line for a moment and take on the role of Sauron. Rather than simply facing the dangers of Mirkwood, you assemble the forces that will confront anyone brave—or foolish—enough to travel through the forest.
