The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: Escape from Dol Guldur is a challenging Nightmare Mode scenario add-on for 1–2 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes.

Designed to reshape the matching original quest, this Nightmare Deck lets players revisit Escape from Dol Guldur in a more dangerous form. Familiar territory takes on new twists and turns as deadlier enemies, darker locations, and more terrifying surprises enter the encounter deck.

Each Nightmare Deck includes twenty new encounter cards to add to the original scenario. It also provides the instructions needed to adjust the original setup, helping players replace selected older cards and create a darker version of the quest.
