About this expansion

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium is a 1994 supplement to the Warhammer 40K 2nd Edition rules for 2–4 players, with an approximately 120-minute play time. It expands the battlefield with vehicle data, psychic powers, strategy options, wargear, and mission material.

Mechanized forces are a central feature of the box. It includes 24 full-colour Vehicle Data Cards covering vehicles ranging from bikes to battle tanks and dreadnoughts, along with a new deck of vehicle custom cards designed to help individualize and convert those forces.

The supplement also provides a broad selection of cards and markers for adding variety to games. Its psychic power cards cover Orks, Eldar, Librarians, Inquisitors, Adeptus, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, Nurgle, Squats, and Tyranids, while Warp Cards, Strategy Cards, Wargear Cards, and Mission Cards extend the available options.

  • 48-page Dark Millenium Rulebook
  • 24 Vehicle Data Cards and 10 Vehicle Cards
  • 60 Psychic Power Cards and 36 Warp Cards
  • 18 Strategy Cards, 55 Wargear Cards, and 4 Mission Cards
  • Templates for effects including Da Krunch, Eldritch Storm, Death Wave, The Gate, and Firestorm of Tzeentch
  • Counters for rad grenades, traps, viruses, and a Slaanesh effect

With its mix of reference material, customizable vehicle support, and additional card-driven options, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium offers a substantial expansion for the second edition experience. Because Games Workshop revised its rules over time, few of these components are usable in the current edition.
