BattleTech: Strategic Operations – Advanced Aerospace Rules is a 2008 BattleTech core-rules volume for 2–6 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes. It focuses on forces operating throughout a solar system, complementing the world-based scope of Tactical Operations and the broader scope planned for Interstellar Operations.

This book brings together rules for advanced aerospace movement, combat, and unit construction. It also covers general systems for a variety of topics, including an abstracted aerospace gaming system and miniatures rules designed for play without a standard hex map.

Strategic Operations also provides rules for maintenance, repair, salvage, and customization. These sections expand the ways aerospace units and other BattleTech forces can be managed beyond the immediate battlefield, while integrating the book into the current rules framework.
