Tsukuyumi: Full Moon Down – Sentinels Expansion is a board game expansion for 3–6 players with an approximately 180-minute play time, released in 2020.

The Sentinels are mystic warriors from the Jade Kingdom, a refuge where otherworldly creatures found shelter after humans began killing and hunting them. When the Oni return to Earth, these ancient protectors emerge through jade portals to confront them.

Gifted with magic from ancient times, like the Kami once possessed, the Sentinels can move between two worlds. Their jade armor allows them to hide in plain sight whenever a mortal is looking at them, concealing their presence behind an otherworldly power.

The Oni have appeared at several points throughout Earth’s history, and the Sentinels have adapted to each era. Though they remain ancient warriors, their approaches differ:

• Some Sentinels use modern technology.
• Others remain faithful to traditional ways.
• All return to protect Earth from the Oni.

Yet their holy quest has changed. The Sentinels no longer fight for humanity alone; they protect the realms and the creatures connected to them. This places them between both worlds, defending Earth while standing apart from human interests.

With its blend of jade portals, ancient magic, hidden identities, and warriors adapted to different times, Tsukuyumi: Full Moon Down – Sentinels Expansion brings a distinctive supernatural presence to the setting.
