About this expansion

Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy – Expanded Galaxy is an expansion for 4–9 players, with games listed at 200 minutes and additional content for larger sessions.

Designed for 7–9 player games, this expansion provides the extra components and rules needed to extend the galaxy beyond the standard player count. It also introduces an Alliances variant, which can be used in games with 4 or more players.

The expanded player support comes with a selection of additional components to accommodate the larger table. These additions include:

• Extra Technology Tiles
• Extra Ship Part Tiles
• Extra Reputation Tiles
• Two Start Player Markers

Adding more players also requires extra species. The Seekers and Outcasts species expansions each allow two additional players, making them necessary when increasing the player count.

Player numbers cannot be increased above 9. With the appropriate species expansions and the added components in Expanded Galaxy, Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy can support larger groups while offering the option to use alliances in games of four or more.
