Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy – Minor Species is an expansion for 2–6 players, released in 2020, that adds Minor Species Ambassador tiles to the base game.

The expansion contains nine Minor Species Ambassador tiles and a rules pamphlet. From these, four tiles are randomly selected and added to the base game, creating a different selection of Minor Species from the available set.

Diplomatic relations with Minor Species can be formed during an action. This provides a defined way for the Minor Species content to enter play while using the action structure of the base game.

The expansion is intended to be used with the base game and focuses specifically on adding Minor Species diplomatic relations through its Ambassador tiles.
