About this expansion
World of Warcraft Trading Card Game: Assault on Icecrown Citadel Raid Deck is a four-player card game with an approximately 40-minute play time, released in 2011. Three heroes of Azeroth join forces to assault Icecrown Citadel while one player takes the role of the Lich King.
Choose to play as Highlord Tirion Fordring, Lady Jaina Proudmoore, or Queen Sylvanas Windrunner, or command the powerful Lich King raid deck. Each player takes a deck and plays turns as they would in a normal World of Warcraft Trading Card Game match, making the experience accessible to new players without requiring additional rules to learn.
- Four ready-to-play decks for a three-against-one raid
- Legendary weapons including the Ashbringer, Staff of Antonidas, Frostmourne, and Deathwhisper
- A rulebook designed to help new players begin quickly
- New art for cards such as Fire Blast, Frostbolt, Counterspell, Multi-Shot, Redemption, and Hammer of Justice
The three raiding decks can also be converted into tournament-legal Core decks. Replace the hero card, remove the legendary weapon, and they are ready for Core Constructed or Battlegrounds events.
Each game includes an Assault on Icecrown Citadel Treasure Pack containing nine foil cards: eight uncommons and one rare or epic. The 30-card set includes new allies, abilities, quests, and equipment, with cards featuring Muradin Bronzebeard, High Overlord Saurfang, and Highlord Tirion Fordring. Treasure Packs may also contain Loot cards such as Mottled Drake, Grim Campfire, and Landro’s Lil XT. World of Warcraft Trading Card Game: Assault on Icecrown Citadel Raid Deck brings the Northrend raid experience to the table in one complete package.
