The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Decks: Khazad-dûm is a set for 1–2 players that reshapes three scenarios from Khazad-dûm with a more challenging Nightmare Mode experience. Each game takes approximately 60 minutes.

Nightmare Decks let players revisit familiar scenarios while facing deadlier enemies, darker locations, and more terrifying surprises. Rather than simply repeating a journey players already know, the set introduces new twists and turns designed to make these scenarios feel dangerous again.

Khazad-dûm Nightmare Decks is a single set containing three separate 20-card Nightmare Decks. There is one deck for each of the three scenarios included in Khazad-dûm, the first deluxe expansion for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.

• Three Nightmare Decks in one set
• Twenty cards in each deck
• Alternate encounter cards for the three Khazad-dûm scenarios
• Instructions for reshaping each scenario’s encounter deck

To use the set, players follow the included instructions to add the alternate encounter cards to the relevant scenario’s encounter deck. This changes the structure of the challenge and sends players into territory they thought they knew, now altered by the shadows of Nightmare Mode.
