Africa Aflame

About this expansion

Africa Aflame is an optional add-on for World in Flames for 2–6 players, with an approximately 240-minute playing time. Released in 1993, it adds an Africa-focused map and a collection of counters to the World in Flames experience.

The set contains 200 counters and a map of Africa presented in the same gorgeous colors as World in Flames. Together, these components provide the dedicated geographic and counter-based material associated with the Africa Aflame addition.

Africa Aflame was revised in 2003 for World in Flames Final. This revised version includes the 2003 Africa Aflame counters, updating the contents for that edition of the larger game system.

The revision also adds a range of late-war military equipment. These additions include artillery, self-propelled guns, anti-tank weapons, and anti-aircraft weapons—equipment described as having helped decisively end the war.
