About this expansion

Invaders: Armageddon is a two-player expansion for Invaders, designed for games of about 60 minutes. Released in 2016, it combines four expansions in one package and gives both sides new ways to fight for the fate of Earth.

The expansion increases the number of possible stratagems available to each player beyond the board-set options in the base game. These powerful additions remain hidden, keeping both players guessing about the opponent’s overall plan of attack until it may be too late.

Mankind also gains a new phase in which it can attack the vast alien mothership. This creates a difficult choice: every robot or tank sent against the starship is one less card available to defend Earth from other attacks. Meanwhile, the Invader must decide whether to move scarce resources to protect the mothership.

  • The mothership contains an energy source that can help the Invader play cards.
  • It may also fire a powerful mega-death super-weapon.
  • Three new theatres of conflict, all coastal cities, join the struggle.
  • The Invader deploys alien squids to create an ever-increasing swarm.
  • Mankind must defend Earth with a limited number of jet squadrons.

With hidden plans, expanding alien forces, and the dangerous possibility of a direct assault on the mothership, Invaders: Armageddon changes how both players approach the invasion. The choice between attacking the starship and protecting Earth makes every available card and fighting force matter.
