About this expansion

Villages of Valeria: Landmarks is a 2–5-player game with a play time of about 45 minutes, in which Dukes and Duchesses compete to create the village worthy of becoming New Shilina, Valeria’s next capital.

The King of Valeria has issued a new decree: the chosen village must feature wondrous landmarks that distinguish it from the rest. New adventurers await your call, building plans have been drawn, and landmarks are ready to rise around your castle.

To construct these impressive additions, players discard cards showing specific resources. Those cards allow them to take and build Landmark tokens on their Castle card, adding a new focus to the development of their village.

• Discard cards with the required resources to take and build Landmark tokens.
• Place Landmark tokens on your Castle card.
• Earn bonus points by collecting the most of each token type.
• Collect sets containing all five Landmark token types for additional bonus points.

Every landmark can contribute to your claim for prestige, but end-game scoring rewards both specialization and variety. Pursue the token types that can give you the lead, or work toward a complete set of all five for another route to bonus points.

Will your choices produce the most celebrated collection of landmarks? In Villages of Valeria: Landmarks, careful resource discards and ambitious construction may determine which Duke or Duchess wins the honor of helping establish New Shilina.

This is the retail edition of Landmarks. Villages of Valeria: Architects is sold separately at retail; both were combined during the Kickstarter campaign as Villages of Valeria: Landmarks & Architects.
