MBT: 4CMBG

About this expansion

MBT: 4CMBG is a two-player expansion for MBT, focusing on Canada’s armored and mechanized forces in Cold War West Germany. The 4th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, positioned at Lahr, is prepared to support VII (US) Corps and II (FRG) Corps against incursions from Soviet GSFG or CGF forces.

This expansion adds five new scenarios and two double-sided geomorphic mapboards. The maps can be combined with the maps from the MBT base game and other expansions to create new battlefields. A detailed Canadian Brigade TO&E is also included, while only the MBT basic game is required to play.

Canadian forces bring new vehicles, infantry, and aircraft to the battlefield, including the Beaver AVLB, Leopard C1, Lynx, M113A1, M150, and leg units. Flyers include the CH-136 Kiowa and CF-18B Hornet. The Leopard C1 also receives APFSDS ammunition, while Blowpipe and ITOW section counters expand the available equipment.

Leaders add a flexible new dimension to MBT: 4CMBG. Players may add any number of leaders, or none, by mutual agreement. Depending on their skills, leaders can influence AP and GP combat, close assault, hand-to-hand combat, overruns, suppression recovery, morale, spotting, and indirect-fire response.

Released in 2019, MBT: 4CMBG provides a focused Canadian forces expansion with new scenarios, battlefield layouts, units, equipment, and command possibilities.
