About this expansion
The Great Battles of Julius Caesar: The Civil Wars 48-45 B.C. – Veni Vidi Vici: The Battles of Nicopolis 48 B.C. Zela 47 B.C. is a two-player expansion for the Great Battles of History series, with an approximately 360-minute playing time.
This module expands Caesar: The Civil Wars with two battles from the period of the Roman civil wars. It portrays the Battle of Nicopolis in 48 B.C. and the Battle of Zela in 47 B.C., bringing both engagements to the Caesar campaign setting.
- Nicopolis, 48 B.C.
- Zela, 47 B.C.
Veni Vidi Vici is designed for two players and was released in 1999. As an expansion module, it is not a standalone game: playing it requires the parent game, Caesar: The Great Battles of Julius Caesar – The Civil Wars 48-45 B.C., as well as the Dictator expansion module.
For players building the complete Caesar: The Civil Wars experience, this release adds two further historical scenarios to the Great Battles of History collection. Its focus is firmly on the battles of Nicopolis and Zela, extending the existing game system with engagements dated 48 and 47 B.C.
The Great Battles of Julius Caesar: The Civil Wars 48-45 B.C. – Veni Vidi Vici offers a substantial two-player session for enthusiasts of the Great Battles of History series who already own both required titles and want to explore these additional Caesar-era battles.
