About this expansion

Metro X: Extention Map Pack – Sendai & Hakata & Nagoya is a subway-network game for 1–99 players that plays in about 20 minutes. It adds three different maps to the MetroX system, along with new rules for branching and annular lines.

Each player creates a subway network on an individual game sheet. As cards reveal numbers, everyone fills station spaces on their map with circles. The number of times stations can be added to each line is limited, so every choice matters as you decide where to extend your network.

Scoring rewards careful planning and timely completion. Players can earn star bonuses by filling stations where many routes intersect, while additional bonuses go to those who are first to complete routes. Completing the map is also important: filling all your stations helps minimize penalties and can lead to a higher score.

The map pack offers three settings to explore with the MetroX rules:

• Sendai
• Hakata
• Nagoya

Alongside these new maps, Metro X: Extention Map Pack – Sendai & Hakata & Nagoya introduces branching and annular lines, adding fresh route structures to consider. Whether playing alone or alongside a large group, players must balance immediate opportunities with the limited additions available on each line.

With shared card information, individual maps, route-completion bonuses, and penalties for unfilled stations, this 2019 expansion gives MetroX players three new subway challenges in a compact format.
