Heroes of Normandie: Big Red One Edition – Solo Mode is a one-player board game mode designed for a 60-minute experience, released in 2022. It places you alone behind enemy lines, searching for the positions of your unit while danger lurks across the countryside.

You left the family farm for war with courage and heroic expectations, but forced marches, skirmishes, and ambushes have changed everything. After the latest fight goes wrong, you are isolated from your company. Every grove and ruined house may conceal a threat as you advance with your rifle and try to find your comrades.

This solo mode introduces a different way to play the Heroes system, supported by a substantial amount of exclusive material. Three difficulty levels let you choose the kind of challenge you want to face, helping you find an opponent suited to your experience and preference.

• Solo play: Experience the battlefield alone in a dedicated one-player mode.
• Three difficulty levels: Select the challenge that best fits your desired game.
• Two introductory scenarios: Learn the principles of solo play through dedicated scenarios.
• Scenario adaptations: Use the rule book’s guidance to play or replay almost all scenarios released for Heroes of Normandie and Heroes of Stalingrad.

The rule book also offers adaptations for a wide range of existing scenarios, opening the door to solo sessions across both game lines. Stay alert, however: in this isolated fight, the enemy is not always the one you expect.
