Timber Tom: The Wollemi Pines

Timber Tom: The Wollemi Pines is a bonus mini expansion for 2–4 players, with a listed play time of 60 minutes. It adds the rare and protected Wollemi Pine to the mountainsides of Timber Tom.

These special trees create a lasting challenge during the hiking adventure. Once a Wollemi Pine has been planted, it cannot be removed, so it remains in place for the rest of the journey.

As hikers make their way along the mountainsides, they may encounter a Wollemi Pine strategically planted by a rival hiker. Because the tree is protected, it cannot be cleared from the path. Instead, the hiker must find another route.

• Add rare Wollemi Pines to the mountainsides.
• Block paths with trees that cannot be removed.
• Use your stash of precious Wollemi “seeds” before returning to base camp.

The expansion also gives hikers an important responsibility. During the hike, they are expected to expend their stash of precious Wollemi seeds to help spread these rare trees along the mountainsides. Any seeds left unused can lead to a penalty when the hiker returns to base camp.

With protected trees affecting available routes and seed use tied to the return to base camp, Timber Tom: The Wollemi Pines adds a focused layer of planning to the hiking adventure. Watch for rival placements, adjust your route when necessary, and make sure your precious seeds do not remain in your stash.
