About this board game

Splendor: Pokémon is a Pokémon-themed strategy game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 30 minutes. Like the original Splendor, it challenges you to collect resources, acquire cards, and build an increasingly powerful collection.

On your turn, choose one of three actions: collect Pokéballs, catch a Pokémon, or reserve a Pokémon. Pokéballs come in five colors, and you may take three different colors or two of the same color, provided four are available. To catch a Pokémon, pay its cost and add it to your playing area.

Every Pokémon you catch grants a permanent Pokéball that helps pay for future catches. As your collection grows, more expensive and higher-value Pokémon become easier to obtain. You may also reserve a Pokémon face down for later, preventing opponents from taking it and giving you a Master Ball, which can later act as a Pokéball of any color.

• Evolve Pokémon: At the end of your turn, evolve one Pokémon if the next level is in the display and you can pay its required Pokéballs.
• Rare Pokémon: One is displayed at a time, and each provides two permanent Pokéballs when caught.
• Legendary Pokémon: One is displayed at a time, provides two permanent Pokéballs, and requires a Master Ball to catch.

When a player reaches 18 or more points, complete the final round. The player with the most points wins, making timing your catches, evolutions, and reservations essential to victory.
