3 Second Try

About this board game

3 Second Try is a fast-paced challenge game for 2–7 players, with each game taking about 15 minutes. Players face physical dexterity and mental intellect tasks, trying to complete their bid before a ball reaches the bottom of a slide.

Each round begins with one player becoming the Master. The Master reveals a challenge from either the Physical card pile or the Brain card pile, then immediately releases the ball from the top of the slide. All players bid on how many times they believe they can perform the challenge in under three seconds.

The highest bidder goes first and attempts to fulfil their own bid while the ball races down the slide. For example, a player might bid five and try to name five different words beginning with the letter “A.” The player covering the magnet determines whether the challenge is completed before the ball passes it.

If the highest bidder succeeds, they win the revealed card. If they fail, the next-highest bidder tries to complete their lower bid, continuing in order until a player succeeds or the opportunity is lost.
