Activity

About this board game

Activity is a team party game for 3–16 players, with a play time of about 45 minutes. Published by Piatnik and released in 1990, it challenges teams to move their meeples across the board and reach the finish.

Players form 2–4 teams, with at least 2 players on each team. On a turn, one team member receives a phrase from a card and must help the rest of the team discover it using the method required by the category of the field their meeple occupies.

• Pantomime: act out the phrase without speaking.
• Description: explain the phrase so teammates can identify it.
• Painting: draw the phrase for the team to guess.

If the team finds the correct answer, its meeple moves forward. The combination of changing categories and phrases keeps every turn focused on quick communication, creative clues, and teamwork.

Activity is designed for groups that enjoy guessing games with varied ways to express an idea. Its board-game structure gives the session a clear goal, while the team format lets everyone contribute to the race toward the finish.

There are several editions and expansions of the game. A new edition, Activity 2, was created in 2002 and is nowadays sold under the name Activity. The game was also nominated for the Deutscher Spieler Preis in 1993.
