About this expansion

The Last Hurrah: ASL Module 6 is a two-player Advanced Squad Leader module featuring eight historical World War II scenarios, with an listed play time of approximately 120 minutes. Released in 1988, it focuses on the early German blitzkriegs and the determined forces that resisted them.

Across actions set in Poland, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Yugoslavia, Greece, and Crete, players recreate the desperate opening days of the German march of conquest. The defending forces include hastily mobilized reservists, elite units, and a broad range of nationalities, while German commanders employ paratroopers, armor, air power, audacity, and courage.

The scenarios offer a wide historical spectrum for veteran ASL players. Take command of German armor, Polish cavalry, Greek infantry, Belgian Chasseurs, Norwegian reservists, or Luftwaffe paratroopers. One scenario even brings the long-standing foes of Poland and Russia into conflict.

  • Eight scenarios, numbered 43–50
  • One countersheet of Allied Minor infantry and support weapons
  • Boards 11 and 33 in all editions, with Board 3 included in the second edition only
  • Scenario titles including Into the Fray, Birds of Prey, Piercing the Peel, and Age-Old Foes

Board 11 features revised artwork, while Board 33 presents open terrain and a large grainfield. To play the scenarios, players need ASL, Beyond Valor, and Yanks for two scenarios. The Last Hurrah delivers historically grounded confrontations that challenge players to match the tenacity and audacity shown on both sides.
