About this expansion

Akropolis: Pantheon is a cooperative expansion for 1–4 players, with games lasting around 25 minutes. The base game is required. Working together, players construct a grand Capital, honor the gods, and pursue the highest possible score.

Choose one of three scenarios—Corinth, Sparta, or Athens—each offering an increasing level of difficulty. Every player receives a starting tile, while the remaining tiles form the heart of the Capital in the center of the play area. Three Architectural Challenge tiles and their corresponding Divine Altars are revealed, and each player begins with two Stone cubes and three City tiles in hand.

On each turn, choose how to contribute to the collective effort. Add a tile to your City to complete an Architectural Challenge and gain a Divine Altar, or place your tile in the center to help construct the Capital and prepare for end-game scoring. Draw a tile at the end of your turn so you always have three in hand.

  • Complete Challenges to place Divine Altars in the Capital.
  • Manage Stones and coordinate tile placements with the other players.
  • Anticipate upcoming Challenges while building toward the scenario target.

Squares work differently in this expansion: they count at the end only when adorned with an Altar honoring the appropriate god—Hestia, Hermes, Ares, Zeus, or Demeter—based on the Square’s color. Personal Cities provide no points.

When all City tiles have been played, score the valid Squares in the Capital and compare the final result with the chosen scenario’s target. In Akropolis: Pantheon, collective planning and careful use of Stones are essential for victory.
