Amerigo Queenie 1: Volcanic Island

About this expansion

Amerigo Queenie 1: Volcanic Island is a mini-expansion for Amerigo for 2–4 players, with a play time of about 75 minutes. Released in 2013, it adds one focused module to the game’s central playing area.

The module can be used on its own or combined with any other modules for Amerigo. During setup, place the volcanic island tile in the central playing area, then put one gold tile face down on each marked space on the island tile.

The volcanic island tile contains four islands separated by a volcano rather than water. The volcano space cannot be built on, creating a clearly defined area that remains unavailable for construction.

• Place the volcanic island tile in the central playing area.
• Put one face-down gold tile on every marked space.
• Reveal and resolve a gold tile whenever someone builds over it.

Whenever a player builds over one of the marked spaces, the gold tile there is revealed. The player immediately receives the amount of gold shown on that tile, turning the hidden spaces into potential rewards as construction progresses.

With its face-down rewards and unbuildable volcano space, this compact module adds a distinctive feature to the shared area without requiring a separate game system. Amerigo Queenie 1: Volcanic Island is designed as a flexible addition, whether played by itself or alongside other Amerigo modules.
