About this board game
Applejack is a tile-placement game for 1–4 players that takes about 60 minutes, in which players fill an orchard with tree tiles and compete for the highest score.
A wide orchard awaits Applejack and his daughter. On each turn, choose one tree tile from the harvest board in the middle of the table, then place it in your personal orchard. Every tile combines different types of apples and apple blossoms with beehives, creating choices about how your growing orchard will develop.
Beehives show the cost of a tree tile in honey. To gain honey tiles, newly placed beehives must be positioned next to beehives on tiles already in play. Careful placement can therefore help you collect the honey needed as the orchard expands.
- Choose a tree tile from the central harvest board.
- Place it in your orchard alongside previously played tiles.
- Connect beehives to collect honey tiles.
- Arrange apple types meaningfully for harvest rewards.
The Applejack die moves across the harvest board during the game. Whenever it comes across an apple icon, that type of apple is harvested, allowing players to gain honey tokens—but only when they have arranged their apples in a meaningful way. The timing of each harvest makes the layout of your orchard especially important.
After 19 turns, every orchard is filled and final scoring begins. Players score their apples, apple blossoms, and collected honey. With its blend of tile placement, orchard building, apple harvests, and connected beehives, Applejack offers a focused contest to create the most rewarding orchard and finish with the highest score.
