About this expansion

Arcadia Quest: Hassan is a 2014 board game for 2–4 players with an approximately 60-minute play time. It introduces Hassan, a strange prince from a distant land whose combat prowess is considered merely “adequate”—until his astonishing luck changes the course of a fight.

Hassan credits his survival to his forward-thinking battle strategies and the mystic Dagger of Rhee-Do. Foes that seem certain to deliver a fatal blow instead find themselves outmaneuvered, left bleeding from dozens of tiny wounds, with sand rubbed into them for extra insult.

His story begins in a desert kingdom after eternal night has fallen. At first, the disappearance of the desert heat may have seemed like a relief, but the world has grown considerably colder. In the dunes, that creates a serious problem: firewood is notoriously difficult to find.

Hassan’s setting combines an unusual hero, supernatural luck, and a harsh shift in the environment. His journey unfolds against a backdrop where the familiar heat of the desert has given way to enduring cold, making every scarce source of warmth feel significant.

With its distinctive prince, mystical dagger, and memorable contrast between desert origins and freezing conditions, Arcadia Quest: Hassan offers a focused character story filled with strange fortune and dangerous encounters. It is a notable addition for players drawn to dramatic fantasy settings and heroes who survive through a mixture of strategy, luck, and an extraordinary weapon.
