Arkham Horror: The Card Game – The Pallid Mask: Mythos Pack is a scenario for 1–4 players, with a play time of about 120 minutes, set during the pursuit of the truth behind The King in Yellow.

As the fourth Mythos Pack in the Path to Carcosa cycle, The Pallid Mask takes investigators from the streets of Paris into the city’s subterranean catacombs. They are searching for a stranger who may be connected to the events surrounding the performance at the Ward Theatre in Arkham.

The investigation leads through moist, clammy tunnels of stone and into an eerie, otherworldly landscape. Strange twists and turns deepen the mystery, while the route may carry investigators beneath the earth, through The Gate to Hell, and toward the Well of Souls or another forgotten chamber.

The scenario’s distinctive location system makes each journey through the tunnels feel uncertain. Since the locations enter play only as investigators reach them, every new step can reveal a different part of the labyrinth—and could be the last.

With its descent from familiar streets into strange underground chambers, The Pallid Mask offers a memorable investigation built around exploration, disorientation, and mounting danger. The deeper the investigators go, the harder it may become to tell whether they are approaching the heart of the play’s mysteries or simply becoming lost.
