About this board game
Atmosfear: The Harbingers is a tense board game for 3–6 players, played in approximately 60 minutes. Players race to collect six different key stones and return to the hub before the game’s one-hour video clock expires.
At the hub, the objective is precise: you must enter exactly at your own number. Once there, you should not draw your own piece of paper from the “Source of the Fear.” Reaching the finish is therefore only part of the challenge; the final instructions matter just as much.
The game uses a VHS video tape as a constantly advancing clock. From time to time, the Gatekeeper appears on the video to tell the current player what they may or must do. These interruptions make every turn feel urgent, encouraging players to finish their actions quickly so they are not the one affected by the next command.
- For 3–6 players
- Approximately 60 minutes of play
- A VHS video tape serves as the one-hour video clock
- Collect six different key stones and return to the hub
- A modular board supports several different setups
Because the board is modular, Atmosfear: The Harbingers can be arranged in several different configurations. That variety changes the layout from one game to the next, while the ticking video clock and unpredictable Gatekeeper interruptions keep the pressure high throughout the session.
Released in 1995, Atmosfear: The Harbingers combines a clear collection objective with timed video events and a distinctive final requirement. It is a game of speed, precision, and composure under pressure.
