BattleLore: Heroes Expansion

About this expansion

BattleLore: Heroes Expansion is a two-player expansion for BattleLore, designed for games of about 60 minutes. It introduces player-created Leaders and Champions who augment their camp’s forces in battle.

Each fledgling adventurer begins with only a minimum of skills and artifacts. Through adventures, a Hero can earn valuable rewards for performing well, but the battlefield remains dangerous: suffering too many wounds may force that Hero into an unwanted early retirement.

The expansion includes five different Heroes, each represented by two figures: one on foot and one mounted. Hero banners and War Council Hero tokens support the journey, including tokens used when Heroes retire. Seven new adventures are included in the rules booklet, alongside the Battle-Savvy Troops rules.

Landmarks, treasures, experience, skills, and artifacts provide the key elements for developing each Hero’s journey. The included content expands the possibilities available to BattleLore players while adding a distinct focus on character creation, advancement, rewards, and retirement.

With its collection of unique figures, cards, tokens, and new adventures, BattleLore: Heroes offers a way to bring player-created Heroes into the conflict. Prepare for a journey where careful progress and survival can determine how long an adventurer remains on the battlefield.
