Block Party

About this board game

Block Party is a creative building and guessing game for 2–6 players that plays in around 20 minutes. Released in 2023, it challenges players to turn colourful wooden blocks into secret objects before the timer runs out.

Each round, one player becomes the Guesser while everyone else takes the role of a Builder. Turn over a challenge card, such as “Build the tallest object” or “Use the fewest colours,” and then have each Builder secretly choose an item from their list.

Once the timer starts, Builders race to create their chosen objects using the blocks in the middle of the table. The challenge adds a fresh restriction or goal to every round, encouraging players to think creatively about how to represent their secret choice.

When time is up, the Guesser examines the creations and goes around the table, attempting to work out what each Builder has made. Points are awarded for correct guesses, as well as for sneaky steals, keeping everyone involved even after their own build is complete.
