About this board game

Blokus 3D is a three-dimensional strategy game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 20 minutes. Originally released in 2003, it challenges players to construct an Inca building by placing distinctive shaped pieces in a shared structure.

Each player receives a set of three-dimensional wooden or plastic pieces. Players try to position their pieces adjacent to pieces of their own color, while using their different shapes to expand their construction. Because every piece has its own form, success depends on developing a strong sense of three-dimensional space.

Building scenarios impose different restrictions on the structure being created. Depending on the scenario, players may work within cubic, wedge-shaped, or pyramidal volumes. These changing limitations ensure that no game is quite like the one before it, even when using the same collection of puzzling pieces.

The Educational Insights rebrand is labelled for 1–4 players and adds solitaire challenges, including building a 3×3 cube with one color and creating the various shapes with all colors while following the multiplayer rules and leaving no gaps. The game is also expanded by Rumis+.
