Catan: Starfarers – 5-6 Player Extension

About this expansion

Catan: Starfarers – 5-6 Player Extension enables games of Catan: Starfarers for five or six players, with a play time of approximately 150 minutes. Released in 2020, it contains the components needed to expand Starfarers to a larger group.

The extension introduces a new Pilot 1/Pilot 2 turn-taking system. This system keeps players more engaged by allowing them to build and move between the active turns of other players.

Alongside the additional player capacity, the extension adds new pieces and space to explore. Its contents include:

• New player pieces
• Additional motherships
• Additional space sectors
• The mysterious alien civilization known as the Travelers

The Travelers bring a new opportunity to the game. Players can strike trade alliances with this alien civilization and benefit from the Travelers’ supernatural powers.

With more player components, extra space sectors, and a turn structure designed to keep activity flowing, Catan: Starfarers – 5-6 Player Extension offers a way to bring larger groups into the Starfarers experience. The addition of the Travelers also gives players a distinctive new civilization with which to form alliances during their game.
