De Kolonisten van Catan: De Koloniën is a separately sold expansion for Catan for 3–4 players, with games lasting around 90 minutes. It requires Catan: Seafarers and belongs to the Catan series.

For centuries, a large island has waited in the ocean, filled with exotic resources. The settlers of Catan see an opportunity to profit from these scarce goods, but claiming them is only the beginning of the challenge.

Resources must first be moved from the island to the coast. From there, they need to be transported overseas to the home island. This creates a demanding logistical problem in which successful movement of goods is central to the scenario.

The scenario is based on Die Kolonien from Das Buch zum Spielen. Kosmos published it in 2007 to mark the tenth anniversary of The Seafarers of Catan.
