Ceres

About this board game

Ceres is a worker placement game for 1–4 players, with sessions lasting about 120 minutes, in which asteroid-mining corporations compete to rule a growing industrial colony.

The year is 2219, and humanity’s attention has moved beyond Earth. Mars has been colonized for more than a century, while the dwarf planet Ceres has become the center of the asteroid-mining complex overseen by the Asteroid Mining Assembly of Corporations.

In Ceres, each player leads a corporation seeking profit and power while the colony expands and demand for skilled labor rises. The game is played over three rounds, each representing one year and a complete business cycle for the corporations.

Use worker placement to choose from a range of corporate actions and develop your presence throughout the asteroid belt and on Ceres. Available possibilities include:

• Launching mining probes to the Asteroid Belt
• Trading raw materials
• Constructing and upgrading core facilities
• Expanding the colony of Ceres
• Improving technology through research
• Liaising with the Mars council to exploit its power

Every business cycle offers new opportunities to build your corporation, improve its technology, and strengthen its position in the expanding colony. With rival corporations pursuing their own ambitions, careful choices are essential as you work to outplay your opponents.

Co-developed with an astrophysicist, Ceres brings thematic applications of its science-fiction setting together with innovative twists on the worker placement genre. Are you ready to board the mission and lead Ceres?
