About this board game
Chronicles of Avel is a cooperative family board game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Take the role of brave heroes and heroines, explore a magical land, and work together to save Avel from the servants of the Black Moon.
Each game unfolds across a modular board made from hexagonal tiles, creating a different landscape every time. Move through the land in search of adventure and fortune, encounter dangerous monsters, and roll dice to determine the outcome of battles.
Before facing the greatest threats, create your character and give them a unique name. Victories can provide valuable rewards, including:
- Weapons and armor to strengthen your heroes
- Potions and gold to support your journey
- New equipment found by searching through a magical bag using only your sense of touch
Equipment is powerful, but your backpack has limited space, so choosing what to carry is an important part of preparing for battle. Upgrade your gear, coordinate with the other players, and make the most of the rewards you discover while exploring Avel.
The Queen has called for help, and the heroes must defend the castle, banish the Beast, and save the land. Chronicles of Avel rewards cooperation, careful preparation, and successful battles against the Beast and all his servants.
