Coconuts

About this board game

Coconuts is a 2013 dexterity game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play, inspired by the Monkey King character from Chinese mythology.

Players launch coconuts toward a field of cups in the middle of the playing area. A successful shot lets you take the cup and stack it on your player board, turning each accurate launch into progress toward victory.

The cups do not always stay where they land. If a coconut lands in a cup on another player’s board, you get to move that cup to your own board. Every launch can therefore change the growing structures around the table.

Players can also use special Monkey King Magic cards to disrupt their opponents’ attempts. These cards can force another player to shoot blind, take a long shot, or otherwise make it harder to cup a coconut.

• Launch coconuts toward the central field of cups.
• Stack captured cups on your player board.
• Use Monkey King Magic cards to interfere with opponents.
• Build a pyramid of six cups before anyone else.

The result is a game where dexterity and timing matter on every shot, while successful launches and well-played cards help shape the race. In Coconuts, the first player to complete a pyramid of six cups on their player board wins.
