Codenames: Disney – Family Edition is a 2–8-player social word game with an approximately 15-minute play time, bringing Codenames gameplay together with characters and locations from more than 90 years of Disney and Pixar films.

Two teams compete to identify all of their words first. The words are arranged in a 5×5 grid alongside the opposing team’s words, neutral words, and a game-over card that ends the game immediately if chosen.

Each team has a spymaster who knows which words belong to which team. Spymasters take turns giving a single-word clue that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates then discuss the possibilities and try to select words of the correct color while avoiding the opposing team’s words, neutral words, and the game-over card.
