Commands & Colors Tricorne: The American Revolution – The French & More! is a two-player expansion for the American Revolution game, offering ten new battles designed for sessions of about 90 minutes.

This expansion brings the French army into the conflict and expands your existing forces. Its scenarios include the major French land battles of Savannah and Yorktown, as well as detailed engagements at Brandywine, Springfield, Kings Mountain, and Pell’s Point.

As with the core Commands & Colors system, Command cards direct movement while creating a fog of war, and battle dice resolve combat quickly. The game’s scale changes from scenario to scenario: an infantry unit may represent an entire brigade in one battle, but only a few companies in another.

American Revolution combat emphasizes the linear tactics, strengths, and limitations of the period’s armies. Distinct Combat card decks for the British and Continental forces highlight their differing battlefield doctrines, while morale remains central to every engagement. A unit that has suffered only minimal losses may still break and rout when forced to retreat.
