Conan: Crossbowmen is a 2016 board game for 2-5 players, designed for play sessions of around 60 minutes. It brings players to a dramatic military confrontation from Robert E. Howard’s The Hour of the Dragon.

The setting is a battlefield in the valley of the Valkia, where the hosts of Conan, king of Aquilonia, meet an invading army. The opposing forces include knights, archers, men-at-arms, pikemen, and crossbowmen, creating a vivid backdrop of armies, castles, and frontier conflict.

According to the official description, the invading king and his allies march westward with fifty thousand men. After crossing the border, taking a frontier castle, and burning three mountain villages, they encounter Conan’s forty-five-thousand-strong Aquilonian force ten miles west of the boundary line.

The product includes a compact set of components for representing this Conan-themed encounter:

• 6 tiles, including 3 in French and 3 in English
• 10 plastic miniatures
