About this board game

Constellations is a star-themed board game for 2–4 players that takes about 60 minutes to play. Players compete to populate the board with real constellations while scoring constellation points.

During the game, players draw star cards representing the seven types of stars in the universe. Every constellation requires a unique combination of stars, so players must consider which cards they have and how each constellation can fit into the developing night sky.

As the board fills, fitting the final constellations becomes increasingly challenging. The night sky gives players less room to work with, making the closing stages a test of puzzle-solving and careful placement.

The player with the most constellation points at the end wins. Alongside the game, players receive an educational workbook covering stellar evolution as well as the history and mythology of constellations.

Released in 2017, Constellations combines card drawing, board placement, real celestial subjects, and an educational exploration of the stars. It offers a game experience centered on creating a shared night sky while learning more about the constellations represented within it.
