About this board game

Core Space is a science fiction miniatures board game for 1–6 players, with games lasting around 180 minutes. Players control bands of Traders trying to make a living in a dangerous galaxy while being hunted by the Purge, a semi-sentient race of humanoid machines whose sole task is to harvest worlds.

Each game unfolds on a detailed 3D board built from a 2’/60cm square gaming mat and more than 130 terrain pieces. Your Traders must explore the area, fulfil their objectives, salvage what they can and escape back to their ship before the dangers of the galaxy overwhelm them.

The campaign system follows your crew from game to game, allowing their story to develop over time. Traders can improve their skills, upgrade their equipment and use their earnings to pay for desperately needed repairs to their ship.

The core set accommodates 1–2 players and includes the crews of the Black Maria and the Ion Hope, along with eight Trader miniatures, nine Purge miniatures and three civilian miniatures. Additional Trader crews, available separately, allow Core Space to support up to six players.

With character boards, class boards, crew dashboards, a Purge board, ship boards, event cards, dice and a token pouch containing over 100 equipment tokens, the set provides the tools for a detailed sci-fi survival campaign. Explore, earn, repair and try to get your Traders home alive.
