About this board game

Cryptid is a deduction game for 3–5 players with an approximately 50-minute play time, challenging cryptozoologists to uncover an elusive creature before their rivals do.

Each player holds one piece of evidence that helps locate the beast. On your turn, you can question your opponents to gain information about their clues, but every answer carries a risk: reveal too much and someone else may solve the mystery first.

The game’s central challenge is honest misdirection. You must share enough of what you know to make progress while concealing the details that would expose your own clue. Read your opponents’ responses carefully, connect the available evidence, and work out where all the clues point.
