About this board game

Cutterland is a strategy board game for 2–4 players that takes about 40 minutes to play. In this imaginative 2020 game, players literally cut cards into pieces and compete to create their own fabulous lands.

The game puts you in the role of a creator of fantastical worlds. You will divide the cards, distribute the resulting pieces among the players, and use what you receive to shape a land of your own. The creatures inhabiting that land are central to your score, turning each cut and distribution into an important part of the competition.

Rather than simply exploring a finished fantasy setting, Cutterland invites you to help make one. Its distinctive physical-card mechanic gives the game a memorable identity, while the goal remains easy to understand: create the most attractive land and earn victory points from the creatures living there.

Cutterland also includes a mode that lets you play with the cut-up pieces, offering another way to use the unusual components. This gives the game an additional feature beyond its main competition to create an appealing fantasy world.

Two “recharge” packs are planned for the game. Classics contains the base set of cards, while Mashroom introduces a new creature of the same name. With its hands-on card cutting and creative land-building premise, Cutterland offers a distinctive take on the fantasy strategy genre.
