About this board game

D-Day Dice (Second Edition) is a 1–4 player cooperative dice game with a playing time of about 45 minutes, set during the Allied landings in Normandy on June 6, 1944.

Players take the role of Allied soldiers attempting to organize improvised units and attack a heavily defended German machine-gun nest. Each player begins with only a small unit and no other resources, then works to make that unit stronger and deadlier while advancing across the beach.

Although dice rolling is at the heart of the game, success depends on resource management and careful decisions about when to move. Resources remain available from turn to turn, allowing players to plan ahead rather than rely only on the results of a single roll.

• Collect and manage soldiers, specialists, items, and courage.
• Advance through the beach sector by sector.
• Coordinate with the other players in a multiplayer cooperative game.
• Use optional solitaire rules for a solo experience.

All players play their turns simultaneously, creating a shared challenge in which everyone must help one another stay alive. Your improvised unit will need to grow stronger as the assault continues, but every advance brings the danger of failure closer.
