D-Day Dice

About this board game

D-Day Dice is a cooperative board game for 1–4 players, with approximately 45 minutes of play time, set on the beaches of Normandy on June 6th, 1944.

Players take the roles of Allied soldiers attempting to organize improvised units for an attack against a German machine gun nest. Each player begins with a small unit and nothing else, then works to survive as the battle unfolds.

The game combines dice rolling with resource management. As players advance across the beach, sector by sector, they collect the resources needed to strengthen their units and make them more dangerous. Resources remain from turn to turn, allowing players to plan ahead rather than rely only on immediate results.

Every advance brings the improvised units closer to the machine gun nest, but also puts them in danger. Players must decide when to gather strength and when to move, working together to stay alive and reach their objective.

Released in 2012, D-Day Dice offers a cooperative challenge in which the group may succeed—or die trying. The commercial version is supported by three marketed expansions: Operation Neptune, Atlantikwall, and Normandy.
