About this board game

DANTE: Inferno is a cooperative boss battler and narrative game for 1–4 players, with an approximate play time of 120 minutes. Inspired by Dante Alighieri’s The Divine Comedy – Inferno, it combines exploration, storytelling, and tactical battles across the nine circles of Hell.

Players gather in a Caravan and move through nine levels in order, with one chapter dedicated to each Circle of the Inferno. Set at the dawn of the 16th century, the original narrative introduces places, characters, and events immortalized in Dante’s masterpiece.

Dante takes the role of mentor, guiding the adventurers through this dark realm. As the group explores, it must devise the safest route to its objectives—or venture into more challenging corners of Hell. The environment becomes part of the strategy as players engage in fierce confrontations against hordes of enemies.

In Campaign mode, the journey unfolds through the chapters and their narrative experiences. In Quick Campaign mode, players skip directly to the Three-Dimensional Tactical Combat Phase, the Confrontation, for a faster route into the action.

With its fusion of exploration and epic war game-style battles, DANTE: Inferno invites players to plan their path, use their surroundings, and face the dangers of an evocative underworld.
