Daring Dustbunnies

About this board game

Daring Dustbunnies is a card-driven race game for 2–5 players, with games lasting approximately 15 minutes per player. Set beneath the sofa, it challenges magical Dustbunnies to prove who is boldest when the vacuum cleaner arrives.

At the start of each round, your fate is secretly linked to one of six fluffballs. Your goal is to guide your chosen fluffball toward the vacuum without letting it get sucked up, while deducing which colours your opponents are secretly supporting.

Each player begins with four randomly dealt cards. On your turn, play a card to move the fluffball shown on it by its suction number. Carpet tiles can change the situation as well: moving onto an empty tile triggers its special power, while moving onto an occupied space rewards you with static, the currency used to power charms.

• Keep your linked fluffball secret while reading your opponents’ moves.
• Use static, sofa-found charms, and unique character powers to influence the race.
• Navigate furniture, rugs, and pets that can help or hinder the fluffballs.
• Empty your hand to earn an extra charm and draw four new cards.

Position is everything when the round ends. The fluffball closest to the vacuum earns the gold medal, but any ball inside the vacuum loses everything. Choosing which fluffball to advance—and when to send one up the tube—creates a tense blend of hidden information, tactical movement, and calculated risk.

With its quick turns and emphasis on timing, tactics, and trickery, Daring Dustbunnies offers a lively contest for aspiring champions of the kingdom behind the skirting boards. It is suitable for ages 10 and up and was released in 2019.
