Darwin’s Journey: Pirates mini-expansion is a 2023 expansion for 1–4 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes. It introduces new pirate-themed elements to Darwin’s Journey, including treasure and a pirate ship that moves around the game.

The expansion centers on a treasure to be discovered, giving players something new to seek during the game. Alongside it, a pirate ship travels around with pirates on board, creating an additional presence on the board.
