About this board game

Decktective: The Gaze of the Ghost is a co-operative investigation game for 1–6 players, with investigations lasting about 60 minutes. Players work together around a 3D crime scene to solve a mysterious case.

Each player has cards containing information that may help reveal the solution. Discuss the clues you discover, share useful details with the group, and use deduction to develop hypotheses about what happened.

On your turn, choose one of two options:

• Play a card face up: Share its information with the other players by placing it on the table.
• Discard a card face down: Send it to the archive without discussing its information until the end of the investigation.

Every card has a value from 1 to 10. A card may be played face up only when its value is equal to or lower than the current number of cards in the archive. This rule makes the archive an important part of the investigation, as the group must consider both which information to reveal and which cards to keep hidden.

Throughout the game, players discuss the evidence, discard clues they believe may lead them in the wrong direction, and refine their deductions. Cooperation and careful evaluation of the available information are central to reaching the correct conclusions.

At the end of Decktective: The Gaze of the Ghost, the group answers several questions about the case. Each correct answer earns points, and the more points the players collect, the better their outcome.
